JOB DESCRIPTION
About the Role The People Analytics Intern will gain hands-on experience supporting data-driven Human Resources decision-making. Working alongside HR leaders, you will learn how workforce data, recruiting metrics, and organizational analytics are used to improve business performance and enhance employee experience. This is an unpaid internship designed for students and recent graduates interested in pursuing careers in People Analytics, Human Resources Analytics, or Business Analytics. The internship emphasizes learning and professional development through guided experience, mentorship, and exposure to industry best practices. Eligible students may receive academic credit through their educational institution, where applicable. Designed as a structured learning experience, interns receive mentoring, coaching, job shadowing opportunities, regular feedback, and supervised project assignments that build practical Human Resources knowledge and professional skills. Throughout the internship, participants complement the work of Human Resources professionals while developing competencies across the employee lifecycle. Interns do not replace the work of regular employees.

THIS POSITION WILL ENTAIL:

What You’ll Learn & Support

Workforce Data & Reporting

  •   Assist with collecting, organizing, and validating HR and recruiting data.
  •   Support data entry within HR systems and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
  •   Learn how HR metrics are collected, maintained, and reported.
  •   Assist with maintaining workforce dashboards, HR scorecards, and key performance indicator (KPI) reports

HR Analytics

  •   Learn how organizations measure recruiting, retention, engagement, and workforce trends.
  •   Assist in analyzing workforce data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities that support business and talent decisions.
  •   Support data quality and reporting accuracy.
  •   Help prepare reports and executive summaries.

HR Systems & Process Improvement

  •   Assist with documenting HR workflows and reporting processes.
  •   Support HR technology implementation and process improvement initiatives.
  •   Help maintain templates, reporting tools, and documentation.
  •   Assist with HR compliance documentation.

HR Research & Innovation

  •   Research emerging trends in People Analytics, HR technology, Artificial Intelligence, and workforce planning and predictive analytics.
  •   Benchmark HR metrics and reporting practices.
  •   Assist with special analytics projects.
  •   Support cross-functional HR initiatives.

Cross-Training Experience

As part of Digital Factory's Human Resources Internship Program, interns have opportunities to collaborate across People Operations, Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, and People Analytics through job shadowing, cross-functional projects, and shared learning experiences.

This cross-functional approach provides interns with a comprehensive understanding of the employee lifecycle while building foundational knowledge across core Human Resources disciplines. In addition to developing specialized expertise within their primary internship track, interns gain broader exposure to strategic HR practices, helping them build a well-rounded foundation for future careers in Human Resources.

What You Bring

  • Current enrollment in or recent graduate of a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Human Resources, Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Previous campus leadership, volunteer, internship, or project experience.
  • Interest in pursuing a career in People Analytics, Human Resources Analytics, Workforce Planning, Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, or Human Resources.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.

Commitment & Dates

  • Up to 20 hours per week with a flexible schedule
  • Duration: 6–9 months, with the potential for extension based on learning goals and project needs.

Compensation & Internship Status

  • This is an unpaid educational internship intended to provide structured learning, professional development, and practical experience.
  • Participants should not expect wages or other compensation for participation in this educational internship.
  • Eligible students may receive academic credit through their educational institution, where applicable.
  • Upon successful completion of the internship, participants will receive a Certificate of Internship Completion recognizing their participation and learning achievements.
  • Completion of the internship does not guarantee future employment with Digital Factory Technologies.
