JOB DESCRIPTION
About the Role The Talent Acquisition Intern will gain hands-on experience in full-cycle recruiting while supporting the organization's hiring initiatives. Working alongside experienced Talent Acquisition leaders and Human Resources professionals, you will develop foundational knowledge of recruiting, candidate experience, interview coordination, workforce planning, and talent acquisition operations through structured learning, job shadowing, mentoring, and supervised project work. This is an unpaid educational internship designed for students and recent graduates interested in pursuing careers in Talent Acquisition or Human Resources. The internship emphasizes learning and professional development through guided experience, mentorship, and exposure to industry best practices. Eligible students may receive academic credit through their educational institution, where applicable. Designed as a structured learning experience, interns receive mentoring, coaching, job shadowing opportunities, regular feedback, and supervised project assignments that build practical Human Resources knowledge and professional skills. Throughout the internship, participants complement the work of Human Resources professionals while developing competencies across the employee lifecycle. Interns do not replace the work of regular employees.

THIS POSITION WILL ENTAIL:

What You’ll Learn & Support

Recruitment Coordination

  • Learn how job opportunities are posted across multiple recruiting platforms and assist with the posting process.
  • Learn how job requisitions are created, approved, and managed within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
  • Learn how interview scheduling is coordinated and assist with scheduling candidates and hiring teams.
  • Assist in preparing interview materials and ensuring interviewers receive candidate resumes, interview guides, and supporting materials.
  • Observe and support onboarding and offboarding activities.

Candidate Sourcing & Screening

  • Learn sourcing strategies using LinkedIn, job boards, universities, and professional networks.
  • Learn how AI-enabled sourcing tools, ATS optimization, recruiting automation, and employer branding analytics support modern Talent Acquisition practices.
  • Practice evaluating resumes against established job qualifications under the guidance of Talent Acquisition professionals.
  • Participate in recruiter phone screens under supervision.
  • Assist with maintaining candidate pipelines.

Recruiting Operations

  • Help maintain recruiting documentation and candidate records.
  • Assist with job description formatting, posting approvals, and recruitment workflows.
  • Assist with maintaining recruiting metrics, hiring dashboards, and recruitment reporting.
  • Ensure candidate communications are timely and professional.

Talent Acquisition Projects

  • Research emerging recruiting trends and best practices.
  • Assist with employer branding initiatives.
  • Support process improvement projects, recruiting playbooks, and interview guides.
  • Contribute to recruiting Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Cross-Training Experience

As part of Digital Factory's Human Resources Internship Program, interns have opportunities to collaborate across People Operations, Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, and People Analytics through job shadowing, cross-functional projects, and shared learning experiences.

This cross-functional approach provides interns with a comprehensive understanding of the employee lifecycle while building foundational knowledge across core Human Resources disciplines. In addition to developing specialized expertise within their primary internship track, interns gain broader exposure to strategic HR practices, helping them build a well-rounded foundation for future careers in Human Resources.

DESIRED SKILLS QUALIFICATIONS:

What You Bring

  • Current enrollment in or recent graduate of a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Organizational Development, Management, Communications, or a related field.
  • Previous campus leadership, volunteer, internship, or project experience.
  • Interest in pursuing a career in Talent Acquisition, Recruiting, or Human Resources.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.

Commitment & Dates

  • Up to 20 hours per week with a flexible schedule
  • Duration: 6–9 months, with the potential for extension based on learning goals and project needs.

Compensation & Internship Status

  • This is an unpaid educational internship intended to provide structured learning, professional development, and practical experience.
  • Participants should not expect wages or other compensation for participation in this educational internship.
  • Eligible students may receive academic credit through their educational institution, where applicable.
  • Upon successful completion of the internship, participants will receive a Certificate of Internship Completion recognizing their participation and learning achievements.
  • Completion of the internship does not guarantee future employment with Digital Factory Technologies.
